Dear Students and Parents,
Choosing a school is an important step in planning for the future. You want a school that stresses excellence and hard work, one that gives you the solid educational foundation needed to pursue a variety of college or other post-high school options. You want a school that is comfortable, a family-like community that feels safe and friendly. You certainly want the best chance you can have to participate in cocurricular activities, whether it's athletics, drama, music, student government, campus ministry, or another interest. As you consider schools for next year, consider a school in which every student is encouraged to find his or her own niche and excel! Consider Hill-Murray School.
Attend an Open house. You'll hear brief presentations by the Principal and students, and you'll have the opportunity to attend classroom presentations by teachers representing the school's academic departments. I will also be on hand to provide information about the admissions process, financial aid, and important application dates. There's no need to make a reservation to attend. Just come. There are even refreshments. It's a casual, informative evening you don't want to miss! It's a great way to learn about the school.
Another option--visit for a day during school. We invite you--students and parents--to visit us during the school day. Students are invited to be a guest of a current Hill-Murray student for an entire day. We'll match you with a person whose interests are similar to yours.
Parents may call for an individual appointment and tour of the building. Tours are given on Mondays and Thursdays from 8-11 a.m. Call 651-748-2406 to arrange a date and time. Additional tour dates and times are available on request.
Start now to explore the Hill-Murray community for next year. Now is the time to think about the school community you want to be a part of for the next year, and the years to come. Why not make it Hill-Murray? You're invited to become a part of a community in which every student and parent are welcomed. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you at our Fall Open House on Thursday, October 22, 2009. Program begins promptly at 7PM. If you can't make it in October, our Winter Open House will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010. An optional Middle School Meeting will be held from 6:00-6:20 PM in the Library Media Center, followed by an optional Financial Aid Meeting from 6:35-6:55 PM. A short program in the Auditorium begins promptly at 7:00 PM, followed by building tours and classroom presentations.
