Girls Basketball (Winter)

Hill-Murray has a long tradition of exellence in girls basketball.  For athletes interested in participating in basketball, Hill-Murray offers a wide range of levels.  Participation and player development are stressed at the early levels, and as players progress to the higher levels approaching varsity,  competition becomes more intense.

Hill-Murray basketball players are proud to wear the Pioneer uniform.  Expectations are high for athletes both on and off the court.  In addition to promoting competition and maintaining a winning tradition, the Pioneer coaching staff stresses sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-discipline.  Off the court, Hill-Murray athletes are expected take pride in academics.  In that regard, the Pioneer Girls Varsity Basketball team is often the recipient of the annual Section 3AAA Academic trophy for the team's performance in the classroom.

The Hill-Murray program fosters the growth of young women through basketball and the values the program emphasizes during their participation.  The program encourages athletes to go on to colleges and careers, helping them build the self- confidence, academic skills and leadership abilities that lead to success.
